How to be a star player

I'll let you in on a little secret. It's really not that hard to be a star player - as an employee, as a service provider, etc.  Two things -

1. Do what you said you would do by when you said you would do it by
2. Communicate promptly -- prompt statuses and communication when there're changes

That's it.  If you do just those two things, your employer will appreciate you, and your customers will rave about you.  It's not that hard!

Here's a plug for two such service providers that I use.  Hire them!
  • Dino Yue, CPA. Awesome communicator and reasonably priced.  He always respond to my emails w/in one day of receiving them; he responds even just to acknowledge receipt of my message.  Love it!
  • California Auto Center in Burlingame, CA.  Honest car shop, good at communicating and diligent in their work.  For more details, see my detailed review of their business.
