P90X progress report (II)


I'm wrapping up the 2nd phase of my 3rd time through p90x today. There are a lot more things I'm able to do now that I wasn't when I first started. There are also still moves that are work-in-progress.

I'm now able to do the following that I wasn't able to do when I first started (and most of them didn't take long):
  • Confidently say that I can do push-ups (before I wasn't really sure whether what I was doing was a real push-up!)
  • Chaturanga
  • Shoulder stand
  • Right angle pose and grab - I'm now able to grab my wrist with the move!
  • Finish 25 reps of alternating single leg raises as part of Ab Ripper X.
  • Seated feet forward bend and touch the bottom of my feet (the single leg version is seen in the photo above).
  • Bending down, touch my toes with my fingers
The following are moves that are work-in-progress for me:
  • Warrior III and associated moves such as Half Moon and Twising Half Moon
  • Crane
  • Wheel
  • Pull-ups - I started w/bands, and now I'm doing assisted pull-ups (w/a chair). I think it'll be quite a while longer before I"m able to do pull-ups though.
Not too shabby, eh?

P.S. My sister was right. Those R&R jeans are a bit big on me now....
