Gliese 581 discovered

Today, an announcement came out that astronomers discovered a plant like Earth, with climates in the "Goldilock Zone", i.e. not too cold (0 degrees Celsius), not too hot (40 degrees Celsius). It has not been confirmed whether there's life on the planet. Their sun is a lot closer to the planet itself, so solar radiation is likely to be worse there. And this discovery came right after they developed telescopes that are more powerful, capable to see in more detail, so there's likely to be many more "Earths" out there.
