Arty got a haircut!

It's been another few months and it's time for Arty's haircut again. I perused Yelp again and given Pretty Paws' horrifying reviews (dog abuse?!), I just could not bring myself to take Arty there again knowing what I know. I called Pet Grooming Headquarters in SF again; I must've said something differently this time, the price quoted is now $50. I also phoned a new groomer in San Carlos, Heather Ford's Hair of the Dawg. Heather sounded nice over the phone, but her price is also going to be between $50-60. I figure if I'm spending that much, I might as well go with the one that has more than a couple reviews with the best average rating; it was a toss-up between Bow Wow Meow and Super Pups in San Mateo, and I just started iwth Super Pups for this time.

Super Pups is a small shop on El Camino Real between 22nd and 23rd, a few blocks south of 92. I dropped Arty off around 9 am and he was done shortly after 11 am! I was not only happy with the quick service (to minimize time that Arty is at the groomer's) but the way he turned out; everything blended in very nicely, no awkward lines like the cut he received from Carol's Animal Farm. I swear he weighs lighter from just having his fur thinned out. Great summer cut without looking all freaky from most of the lion/fox cuts on poms that I see online! The little bandanna is also nice touch; much better than the bow on a rubber band that Pretty Paws usually put on Arty.
