We made it to DC!

After a normal late night and a sleepless few hours, we woke up at 3:45 am to get ready for our 4:50 Super Shuttle pickup. We were all ready to go, though we still probably forgot a few items - the first one of which is the charger for the electronic toothbrushes. We were to have a 37 minute layover in Cincinnati, having to catch a flight in a concourse to be reached via a shuttle. I was quite worried whether we would make our connection flight. Lucky for us, our SF flight arrived to Cincinnati early, and we had almost an hour between flights. We even had some time to walk around the terminal before boarding.

From the Reagon National Airport in DC, we took the metro to McPherson station and walked about 3 blocks to the Donovan House, our hotel. It's cute boutique hotel, with a friendly staff. Hunny found Brasserie Beck, a French Belgium restaurant about 4 blocks away for us to grab dinner. Beck's offers pages and pages of Belgium beer, a good 10-20 of them on tap. I had Vuuve, a light citrusy beer, and Julian had Kasteel Rouge, a beer that's similar to Lambic, but not quite as sweet. Both beer and dinner was yummy. I especially loved bread dipped in the mussel sauce.

Time to hit the gym after the big dinner.... We've got a tour bright and early at 8 am tomorrow morning!
